Clutch Pedal Assembly: Adjustments

Measure clutch pedal height (A) and clutch pedal freeplay (B), Fig. 4. Clutch pedal height should be 6.9-7.1 inches on Cordia and Tredia or
7.3-7.5 inches on Montero. Clutch pedal freeplay should be .04-.12 inch.

If clutch pedal height and freeplay are not within specifications, adjust as follows: 

a. Back off pedal stopper bolt until it does not contact pedal arm, Fig. 8.
b. Loosen pushrod locknut, then adjust pedal height to specified value by turning the pushrod, Fig. 8.
c. Turn pedal stopper bolt until it comes into contact with pedal arm, then tighten the locknut.
