NOTE: Never disassemble the rocker arm and shaft assembly.
5. Loosen the rocker arm and shaft assembly mounting bolt, and then remove the rocker arm and shaft assembly with the bolt still attached.
6. When installing the rocker arm and shaft assembly, temporarily tighten the rocker shaft with the bolt so that all rocker arms on the inlet valve side
do not push the valves.
NOTE: Install the rocker shaft spring before installing the rocker arm and rocker arm shaft on the exhaust side.
7. Fit the rocker shaft spring from the above and position it so that it is right angles to the plug guide.
8. Tighten the rocker arm and shaft assembly mounting bolt to 32 Nm (23 ft. lbs.).
9. Remove the lash holder tool for fixing the lash adjuster.
10. Install the camshaft sprocket with crankshaft pulley holder pin and end yolk holder tool Nos. MD998715 and MB990767, or equivalents. Use the
tools in the same way as during removal to install the camshaft sprocket.
