Crankshaft Main Bearing Seal: Service and Repair
With Automatic Transmission/Transaxle
1. Remove the transmission.
2. Refer to the illustration for the service procedure.
3. Use the drive plate stopper tool No. MD998781, or equivalent, to secure the drive plate assembly, and remove the bolts.
4. Using the crankshaft rear oil seal installation tool No. MD998718, or equivalent, press fit a new crankshaft rear oil seal into the oil seal case.
5. Apply a small amount of engine oil to the entire circumference of the oil seal lip.
