Montero Sport 2WD V6-3.0L SOHC (1997)
Front Crankshaft Seal: Service and Repair
1. Remove the timing belt.
2. Refer to the illustration for the removal procedure.
3. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:

Using front seal installer tool No. MD998717, or equivalent, apply a small amount of engine oil to the oil seal lip and then insert.

Tap the oil seal into the front case.
NOTE: Knock it as far as the surface.
