Montero Sport 2WD V6-3.0L SOHC (1997)
REMOVAL
1. Drain the engine coolant.
2. Remove the cooling fan.
3. Remove the generator.
4. Follow the removal procedure as outlined in the illustration.
5. When removing the power steering oil pump assembly and the A/C compressor assembly do not disconnect the hoses to remove the pump and
compressor. Always support the removed pump and compressor with a wire so that they will not get in the way while working.
6. When removing the crankshaft pulley, use crankshaft pulley holder pin and end yoke holder tool Nos. MD998715 and MB990767, or equivalents.
7. Remove the timing belt as follows:
CAUTION: Never turn the crankshaft counterclockwise.
