Fluid - Differential: Testing and Inspection
1. Remove the filler plug and check the oil level.
2. Check that the gear oil level is not 8 mm (0.3 inch) below the bottom of the filler plug hole.
Specified gear oil:
Conventional differential, Differential with rear differential lock: Hypoid gear oil API classification GL-5 or higher SAE viscosity Number 90,
80W.
Quantity: 1.5 dm3 (1.6 qts.)
Limited slip differential: Hypoid gear oil MITSUBISHI Genuine Gear Oil Part number 8149630 EX or equivalent.
