1. After the one-way clutch inner race is installed, check the operation of the one-way clutch No. 2 as follows:
2. While holding the rear planetary gear, turn the one-way clutch clockwise to see that the clutch is locked and turn it counterclockwise to see
that the clutch turns.
NOTE:
-
If the one-way clutch turns or locks in both directions, replace the one-way clutch.

If the one-way clutch turns clockwise while it doesn't counterclockwise, the one-way clutch may have been assembled upside down.

Seal ring installation. (2)
Apply ATF to the seal ring and attach it to the output shaft.
CAUTION:
-
Do not bend the claw of the seal ring.

Do not open the seal ring wider than necessary.
