DISASSEMBLY
Follow disassembly steps outlined in illustration.
NOTE: Disassembly service points as follows:
A. Snap ring removal. (19)
Required Special Tools or equivalents:
MD998921: Spring Compressor.
MD998924: Spring Compressor Retainer.
B. First & reverse brake piston No. 2 removal. (21)
Hold the first & reverse brake piston number 2. Gently blow air into the transmission case through the oil hole to remove the first & reverse
brake piston number 2.
CAUTION: Do not blow air suddenly because the piston may be tipped and become hard to remove.
C. Brake reaction sleeve removal. (23)
Hold the brake reaction sleeve. Gently blow air into the transmission case through the oil hole to remove the brake reaction sleeve.
CAUTION: Do not blow air suddenly because the sleeve may be tipped and become hard to remove.
