Shift Interlock: Testing and Inspection
SHIFT LOCK MECHANISM CHECK
1. Carry out the inspections in chart.
2. If a problem is found in the inspections above, adjust the shift lock cable mechanism.
a. Remove the floor console assembly.
b. Move the selector lever to the "P" position.
c. Loosen the jam nut clamping the shift lock cable.
d. Tighten the jam nut to the specified torque at the position where the end of the shift lock cable comes to above the red marking on the lock
cam.
Lightening torque: 12 Nm (106 inch lbs.)
e. Install the floor console assembly.
