Transmission Temperature Sensor/Switch: Testing and Inspection
INSPECTION
1. Disconnect the oil temperature sensor connector and measure at the sensor side.
2. Measure the resistance between terminals 1 and 2 of the oil temperature sensor connector and check that they match the values below.
Standard value:
Fluid temperature:
25° C (77° F): 10 k ohms
120° C (248° F): 615 ohms
3. If the resistance is not within the standard value, replace the oil temperature sensor.
