SUBJECT:
TIRE ROTATION UPDATE
PURPOSE
Tire rotation in the maintenance schedule has been changed for 2000 models. Under normal driving conditions, tires should be rotated every 7,500 miles.
Under severe usage, tires should be rotated every 6,000 miles. Severe usage includes frequently driving on rough roads. Depending on road surface
conditions and vehicle usage, customers may need to rotate the tires more frequently.
If a previous model year Mitsubishi experiences premature tire wear, it may be useful to suggest that the customer rotate the tires every 6,000 miles, or
more frequently as needed.
Remind all customers that to achieve uniform tire wear, the first tire rotation is the most important, and to rotate tires as soon as possible if they notice
any unusual wear.
For tire rotation procedures, refer to the appropriate service manual.
