Loosen the pulse generator-A harness clamp retaining bolt (located on the left side of the transmission), affix the breather hose assembly, then
retighten it.

Confirm proper installation of the the following:
(1)
Confirm the transfer breather hose, the joint tube, and clip are securely installed.
(2)
Confirm the transfer breather hose is inserted in the joint tube at least 15 mm (0.6 inch) and the clamps are properly located.
(3)
Confirm the hoses are installed securely into the new A/T breather assembly.
(4)
Confirm the new A/T breather assembly is secured to the pulse generator-A harness clamp.
(5)
Confirm the hoses are not interfered by any component.
(6)
Confirm the transfer control lever boot is installed properly, with no dents and no slack.

Raise the transmission crossmember and tighten its mounting bolts to 64 Nm (47 ft/lbs).
18.
Reconnect the front and rear propeller shafts to the differential, matching the mating marks applied before removal. Tighten to 49-58 Nm (37-43
ft/lbs).
19.
Reinstall the transfer case under cover.
20.
Confirm proper installation of the the following:
(1)
Confirm the rubber shield in the right front fender is inserted securely into the metal plate clip in the inner fender well.
(2)
Confirm the transmission crossmember is securely tightened to 64 Nm (47 ft/lbs).
(3)
Confirm the front and rear propeller shafts are securely tightened to the differential to 49-58 Nm (37-43 ft/lbs).
(4)
Confirm the transfer case under cover is securely installed.
Reprogram PCM and Affix Labels
PCM REPROGRAMMING
Both sides (engine control and A/T control) of the PCM must be reprogrammed for this recall.
