Use care to prevent damaging the transfer case shift lever. When lowering the A/T assembly, use care to prevent striking the differential flange
with the rear driveshaft U-joint.

Remove the A/T breather hose from the metal routing band on the A/T assembly.
NOTE

The smaller rubber hose is the transfer breather hose.

The larger hose is the A/T breather hose.
11.
Remove the rubber transfer breather hose from the steel line.
12.
Cut an 80 mm length from the front A/T breather hose (pushed out in Step 3) at a 45 degree angle. Discard the cut portion.
