DIAGNOSIS CORRECTIONS FOR DTCs P0134 & P0154 - SERVICE MANUAL REVISION

PURPOSE
This bulletin contains the corrections and revisions concerning DTCs P0134 and P0154.
When the heated oxygen sensor (rear) deteriorates, the diagnosis codes P0134 or P0154 (02 sensor circuit no activity detected) may be output. Heated
oxygen sensor (rear) procedures are added to the diagnosis code-specific inspection procedures.
DTCs P0134 & P0154 check whether a closed loop control should be performed or not. Whether a closed loop control is being performed or not is
determined by making sure the heated oxygen sensor (front) output voltage exceeds 0.5V. If the heated oxygen sensor (rear) deteriorates and responds
poorly, incorrect compensation of the heated oxygen sensor (front) will occur. If the deflection width of the heated oxygen sensor (front) output voltage
becomes small, it may not exceed the 0.5V. This causes the above DTCs to be stored.
