Montero Sport XS 2WD V6-3.5L SOHC (2001)
Place a mating mark on the sleeve flange and front propeller shaft assembly, and then remove the sleeve flange.
REASSEMBLY SERVICE POINTS
>>A<< CENTER BEARING ASSEMBLY/CENTER YOKE INSTALLATION
1. Install the center bearing assembly to the propeller shaft (Front) as shown in the illustration.
2. Align the mating marks on the center yoke and propeller shaft (Front).
3. Press-fit the center bearing assembly with the center yoke while tightening the self-locking nut.
>>B<< JOURNAL BEARING INSTALLATION
CAUTION: Be careful when pressing the journal bearings. If they are pressed at an angle, the inside of the journal bearings will be damaged.
1. Use Special Tool MB990840 to press the journal bearing into the yoke until the snap ring groove is fully visible.
