PURPOSE
The power steering gear box air bleeder plug was eliminated on Montero models produced since 4/94. The 1992-95 Montero service manual procedure
for air bleeding the steering system applies only to previously produced models. This Technical Service Bulletin contains the power steering air bleeding
procedure for Monteros produced since 4/94. The 1996 Montero service manual contains this updated procedure.
Add the heading to the current procedure as shown, and write the TSB number of this bulletin in the "TSB Revision" box at the bottom of the affected
service manual page.

Add the following heading indicating the affected models for the current air bleeding procedure on the affected page: "UP TO 3/94

The following air bleeding procedure applies to Monteros produced from 4/94-on:
AIR BLEEDING (FROM 4/94 PRODUCTION)
Perform air bleeding procedure as necessary after replacing the steering gear box or steering fluid lines.
NOTE:
Before attaching fluid lines, fill the steering gear box with steering fluid.
