HANS-FREE SYSTEM (BLUETOOTH(TM)) DIAGNOSIS
This TSB supercedes TSB-09-52A-002, issued November, 2009, to revise repair procedures and add parts. Revised information is shown with a <.
PURPOSE
Use the following procedures to assist in answering customer questions or to diagnose concerns regarding the hands-free system. This bulletin applies to
a factory, port or dealer installed Bluetooth hands-free system.
AFFECTED VEHICLES <
2007 - on Outlander equipped with FACTORY, PORT or DEALER INSTALLED hands-free
2008 - on Lancer/Lancer Evolution equipped with FACTORY, PORT or DEALER INSTALLED handsfree
2009 - on Lancer Sportback equipped with FACTORY, PORT or DEALER INSTALLED hands-free
2009 - on Endeavor equipped with FACTORY INSTALLED hands-free
2009.5 - on Galant equipped with FACTORY INSTALLED hands-free
2010 - on Eclipse and Eclipse Spyder with FACTORY INSTALLED hands-free
Procedure
IMPORTANT
1. Print out several copies of the hands-free system Information Sheet located at the end of this bulletin. The Hands-free System Information Sheet can
also be found on the Mitsubishi Dealer Link (MDL) on the "service tech resources" main page and under "Warranty Central" in Warranty Forms.
2. Verify the vehicle is equipped with the hands-free system by:
a. Checking on the warranty SuperScreen or
b. By confirming the installation of hands-free equipment:
^ GALANT & ENDEAVOR (2009-on):
The hands-free controls and microphone are part of the dome light assembly. Vehicles not equipped with hands free, have a dome light assembly without
this equipment.
