If the gap is LESS than 5 mm, refer to step 5. if the gap between the protector and the fuel tank flange is 5 mm or MORE, no further action in
necessary. Lower the vehicle.
5.
Loosen the fuel tank band mounting nuts so that the fuel tank can be moved slightly.
WARNING:
Do not remove the fuel tank mounting nuts. The fuel tank may fall out of the vehicle!
6.
Shift the fuel tank to the right hand side of the vehicle approximately 3 mm or until 5 mm of clearance is obtained between the protector and the
fuel tank flange. Tighten the fuel tank band mounting nuts.
CAUTION:
When moving the position of the fuel tank, be careful not to damage the tank, hose, or tubes, etc.
7.
Lower the vehicle.
