TORQUE CONVERTER SHUDDER
PURPOSE
The customer may experience the feeling of the vehicle being driven over rumble strips or railroad tracks. It can be duplicated during steady state driving
with the torque converter in partial lockup operation. The condition can only be experiences after the vehicle has been driven and the Torque Converter
is past the break in period. If experienced the shudder may occur when the transmission temperature is between 38°C and 54° (100°F and 130°F) during
steady state driving with the torque convertor in partial lock operation.
AFFECTED VEHICLES
2007 Raider V6 models equipped with 42RLE transmission built on or before January 2 2007.

Procedure
PROCEDURE
1.
Replace the Torque Converter. Refer to section 23 of the applicable service manual for details.
2.
Check the underside of the hood to verify that there is no label previously installed to indicate that this TSB reprogramming has already been done.
If no label is present reprogram the PCM using the following instructions.

The following equipment is needed to reprogram the PCM for this concern:

MEDIC II at version 4.0A or higher.

MUT-III STV 17.0/RAIDER STV at version 3.5 or higher.

VCI (Vehicle Communication Interface) - MB991824
^
MUT-III main harness A (blue) - MB991910
^
USB 2.0 cable - MB991827
