Suspension Strut / Shock Absorber: Service and Repair
Front Suspension
SHOCK
REMOVAL
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly.
3. Support the lower control arm outboard end.
4. Remove the upper shock nuts (1).
5. Remove the stabilizer link lower nut (5) and then separate the stabilizer link (1) from the lower control arm (6) to gain access to the lower shock
nut (3).
6. Remove the lower shock bolt (4) and nut (3).
7. Remove the shock (2).
