Remove and set aside the glass panel.

Pull the lifter mechanism forward and see if the latch will engage.

A.

If the front latch snaps into place and engages firmly when the lifter mechanism comes forward, then adjust the sunroof lifter mechanism.
Refer to NTB95-116/BT95-011, dated December 6, 1995.

If the front latch does not engage, use a screwdriver to depress the forward end of the latch until it snaps into its detent (see Figure 3).

Apply a light spray of white lithium lubricant to the forward end of the latch and work the latch mechanism up and down by hand until it becomes
free.

5.

Test the sunroof mechanism several times before re-installing the glass. Make sure the front latches engage in the closed position and the sunroof
mechanism will fit and slide back.

6.

Install and align the sunroof glass as shown (see Figure 4).
