Lift out pinion assembly, two thrust washers and thrust needle bearing from pinion housing (Figure 7).

Use Cylinder Lock Nut Wrench J28820 to loosen the cylinder end housing lock nut, then the pinion housing lock nut (Figure 8).

Remove the cylinder end housing and rack bushing from the cylinder assembly.

13.

Remove the cylinder assembly and rack from the pinion housing (Figure 9).

14.

Slide the rack assembly out of the cylinder assembly.

15.

Slide the inner tube assembly off the rack. Be careful not to lose the plastic inner tube collar on the inner tube assembly (Figure 10).
