ASSEMBLE

Refer to Fig. 7 to assemble the oil pump assembly, noting the following:
1. Ensure O-ring and oil seal are properly installed.
2. Coat each part with ATF when assembling.
3. Cam ring, rotor and vanes must be replaced as a set if necessary.
4. Cam ring shape is different between front and rear, ensure front side cam ring is installed with punch mark set on pulley side and that rear side cam

ring is installed with punch mark set on rear housing side, Fig. 9.

5. Ensure rotor is installed in correct direction, Fig. 10.
6. When assembling vanes to rotor, rounded surface of vanes must face cam ring side.
7. Tighten rear housing bolts in a diagonal sequence as follows:

a. Torque bolts to 23-31 ft. lbs.
