Rear Wheel Steering Oil Pump: Service and Repair

REPLACEMENT

1. Remove oil pump drive belt.
2. Drain fluid into a suitable container.
3. Disconnect and plug oil pipes.
4. Remove oil pump mounting bolts then the oil pump.
5. Reverse procedure to install, bleeding hydraulic system.

DISASSEMBLE

Parts which can be disassembled are strictly limited.
Never disassemble parts other than those specified. Refer to Fig. 7
 to disassemble the oil pump assembly, noting the following:
1. Remove inlet and outlet connectors. The discharge connector incorporates a flow control valve. Ensure care is taken not to drop connector.
2. Remove end cover assembly then the driveshaft snap ring and the driveshaft.
3. Remove front cover oil seal.
