Installation

Installation

1.

Install crankshaft sprocket as shown in Fig. 3.

2.

Tighten camshaft sprocket bolt to 118-157 Nm (87-116 ft.lb), then install chain guide and tensioner.

Install oil pump and distributor drive spindle in front cover. Align punch mark on drive spindle with oil hole. Ensure spindle is set as shown in Fig.

Apply liquid gasket to front cover. 

5.

Install front cover carefully.

6.

Install rubber plug onto cylinder head.

7.

Install oil pan as outlined under OIL PAN

8.

Install engine mounting.

9.

Install any parts removed.
