DRIVE SYSTEM OF STEP MOTOR TYPE DOOR MOTOR

Motor is actuated in sequence by energizing four drive coils.

-

Rotation direction can be changed by changing pattern of excitation.

AIR MIX DOOR MOTOR

Diagnosis Procedure

1.CHECK FUSE
Check 10A fuse [No. 2, located in the fuse block (J/B)].

NOTE:
 See: Maintenance/Fuses and Circuit Breakers/Fuse Block/Diagrams.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES  - GO TO 2.
NO - Replace fuse after repairing the applicable circuit.
2.CHECK POWER SUPPLY OF AIR MIX DOOR MOTOR
1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect the air mix door motor connector.
3. Turn the ignition switch ON.
4. Check voltage between air mix door motor harness connector and the ground.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES  - GO TO 3.
NO - Repair the harnesses or connectors.
3.CHECK CONTINUITY BETWEEN A/C AUTO AMP. AND AIR MIX DOOR MOTOR
1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect the A/C auto amp. connector.
3. Check continuity between air mix door motor harness connector and the ground.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES  - GO TO 4.
NO - Repair the harnesses or connectors.
