Remove driver's seat (4) bolts. Pry off the plastic fastener holding down the carpet near the center of the crossmember.

Refer to figure 2. Remove driver's door sill cover, driver's kick panel, and the undercolumn panel.

Installing The Status Monitor Panel: dash or console mounted. Refer to figure 3.

For Dash Installation. BEING CAREFUL NOT TO SCRATCH THE DASH, pry out the switch blank. Feed the status monitor panel harness down
inside the dash. Snap in the status monitor panel. BEING CAREFUL TO ALIGN IT CORRECTLY, AND SMOOTHING FROM THE CENTER
OUT, apply the status monitor panel overlay. Peel off the protective film.

For Console Installation:

(Requires bezel P/N 96913-D0200) Remove the (6) console screws. BEING CAREFUL NOT TO SCRATCH
THE CONSOLE, pry out the rear switch blank. Feed the status monitor harness through the bezel and down into
the console. Snap the bezel into place then snap the monitor into the bezel. Route the harness over the handbrake
lever and loop around the shock absorber control harness. Continue routing the harness forward under the console
up to the crossmember. Route harness under the carpet along the crossmember for connection to the main VSS
harness. INSURE CONSOLE DOES NOT PINCH THE HARNESS. Replace console screws.
