Alternate Mounting:
(Requires Switch Mounting Pod, Nissan P/N 999M2-K7000) If no switch blanks are available on the dash or console, the
status monitor must be installed in a pod, mounted under the center instrument cluster. Layout and mark the hole
locations as shown in figure 4, measuring from the edge of the black cluster lid. Remove the cluster lid and radio or
storage pocket. Drill the two 5/32" diameter mounting holes and the 15/16" diameter hole for the status monitor
connector.
Note:
Notching a 3/4" hole to fit the connector is acceptable.

Snap the status monitor into the mounting pod and BEING CAREFUL TO ALIGN IT CORRECTLY, AND SMOOTHING FROM THE CENTER
OUT, apply the status monitor panel overlay. Route the status monitor cable up through the large hole and pass the connector under the radio frame.
Refer to figure 5. Slide the cable to the left to an open area between the corner of the radio frame and the corner of the cluster housing. Mount the pod
using the screws, lock washers and nuts provided.
