Water Pump: Service and Repair

1.

Disconnect battery ground cable and drain coolant.

2.

Remove radiator fan shroud.

3.

Loosen fan pulley attaching nuts.

4.

Loosen fan belt, then loosen alternator attaching bolts and push alternator toward engine.

5.

Remove fan pulley with temp-coupling and the fan.

6.

Disconnect coolant hose on thermostat housing side.

7.

Remove water pump attaching bolts and the pump.

8.

Reverse procedure to install, using new gasket.
