1.

Inspect the lower inside portion of the sliding door (see Figure 1).

A.

If the paint is worn but the E-coat is not exposed and rust is not present, perform the following steps:

1.

Clean the door surface thoroughly using a wax/grease remover (such as: PPG(R) DX-330, low VOC DX-380, 3M(R) Prep Solvent 70
or equivalent).

2.

Cut a piece of paint protection film (3M(R) Scotchcal(TM) P/N 051141-84701) to a dimension of 1" (25.4 mm) wide by 22.5" (570
mm) long.

3.

Install the paint protection film to the sliding door (see Figure 1).

NOTE:  

When applying the protective film, begin at one end and slowly apply the film.  Do not allow bubbles to form under the film.

B.

If the paint is worn so that the E-coat is exposed and/or rust is present, perform the following steps:

1.

Remove the sliding door and repair the affected area using standard body shop repair techniques.

2.

Cut a piece of paint protection film (3M(R)  Scotchcal (TM) P/N 051141-84701) to a dimension of 1" (25.4 mm) wide by 22.5" (570
mm) long.

3.

Install the paint protection film to the sliding door (see Figure 1).

NOTE:  

When applying the protective film, begin at one end and slowly apply the film.  Do not allow bubbles to form under the film.
