First Throttle Adjustment

NOTE:  This is the first stage adjustment of a two stage throttle plate.

5.

Remove the "DO NOT TAMPER" plug from the set screw #1 and loosen the screw until it no longer touches the lever #2. 

6.

Insert a 0.05 mm feeler gauge between the lever #2 and the screw #1.

7.

Retighten the screw #1 until it just contacts the feeler gauge without causing the lever #2 to move (the feeler gauge must be free).

8.

Remove the feeler gauge.

9.

Turn the screw #1 an additional 1/4 of a turn more.

10.

Install a new "DO NOT TAMPER" plug.

Second Throttle Adjustment

NOTE:  This is the second stage adjustment of a two stage throttle plate.
NOTE:  On the DOHC engine the throttle housing must be removed to adjust the second throttle, due to insufficient clearance between the housing
and the radiator.
