Remove the "DO NOT TAMPER" plug from the set screw #3 and loosen the screw until it no longer touches the lever #4.
12.
Insert a 0.05 mm feeler gauge between the lever #4 and the screw #3.
13.
Retighten the screw #3 until it just contacts the feeler gauge without causing the lever #4 to move (the feeler gauge must be free).
14.
Remove the feeler gauge.
15.
Turn the screw #3 an additional 1/4 of a turn more.
16.
Lock the screw #3 with a drop of Loctite.
17.
Adjust the throttle switch unit. (See "Throttle Switch Adjustment") to follow.
18.
Reconnect the throttle switch electrical connector.
19.
Reconnect the accelerator cable.
Adjusting The Throttle Switch Unit
NOTE: Throttle plate adjustment must be correct before attempting to adjust the throttle switch.
Throttle Switch Adjustment
1.
Loosen the throttle switch unit screws #1.
2.
Rotate the switch unit fully clockwise (toward the engine), then rotate it counter-clockwise until the switch clicks audibly. Do not attempt to rotate
the switch any further than the audible click. This will cause the throttle plate to come off its stop.
