Control Arm: Service and Repair
Removal
1.
Raise and support vehicle.
2.
Remove torsion bar, then disconnect the parking brake cable, brake hose and ABS speed sensor, where necessary.
3.
Remove suspension arm.
4.
Extract outer needle bearing race, then the inner needle bearing race.
Installation

1.
Install inner race (2) using installation tool No. 0530-D or equivalent, Fig. 4, until race bottoms out in arm.
2.
Install outer race (1) using installation tool No. 0530-F or equivalent, Fig. 4. Race will seat when tool contacts arm.
3.
Do not grease needle bearings as grease is incompatible.
4.
Reverse procedure to install.
5.
Bleed brakes and adjust parking brake.
