Push in on sector cam (8) to ensure complete engagement.

Check to make sure that rod (9) is in place and that cam (10) is properly positioned (this is held in place by the pedal depressor).

Push shuttle valve (11) and piston (12) all the way into their respective bores.

Install the valve body. Make sure that the pin (13) engages the shuttle valve yoke (14) and shaft (15) engages the bore (16).

Install, without tightening, the ten valve body mounting bolts. Install the shortest at (a) and the longest at (b).

Remove the pedal depressor and check the operation of the throttle cable assembly.

Torque the ten valve body bolts to 8 mm (72 in.lbs.)

Reinstall the oil pan with a new gasket (P/N 2214.11) and drain plug washer (P/N 2106.06).

Refill with Dexron II or Mercom ATF (approximately 4.2 pints).

Run engine until hot; check fluid level with transmission in park and engine running.

Check for leaks.

If necessary, adjust kick-down cable as per Service Bulletin 415, Class 3.

Road test vehicle after repair.
WARRANTY INFORMATION:
This repair will be accepted when performed within the Powertrain Limited Warranty period of five (5) years and/or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs
first.
