4.

Install bearing caps No. 2 and 4 without tightening the bolts. Install bearing caps No. 5, 1 and 3. Coat bearing caps No. 1 and 5 between junction
surfaces with Ferromagnet gasket cement, or equivalent.

5.

Tighten bearing cap bolts as shown in Fig. 81, then tighten again to specifications. Install oil pipes.

Install new camshaft seals using installation tool No. 0153 or equivalent, and a bolt (7), Fig. 82, then install cover (8) and camshaft pinions with
their keys.

7.

Lock camshafts with pins and tighten bolts (7) to specifications.

Install new oil seal using installation tool No. 0153L or equivalent, and bolt (9), Fig. 83, then install ignition distributor. Coat bolt (10) with
Loctite, then install bolts (10) and (11). Tighten bolts to specifications.

9.

Install pulley and torque bolt to 33 ft. lbs., then the belt, Fig. 84. Using a torque wrench, place wrench in square (c) and set belt tension for new
belts at 41 ft. lbs., or used belts at 22 ft. lbs.

10.

Install upper belt cover (14), cam cover and gasket, and timing belt.
