Alignment: Service and Repair
Caster and camber are not adjustable. If these values are not within specifications, check for damaged, deformed or worn suspension components, or
damaged under body, and repair as needed. To adjust the toe setting, proceed as follows:
1.
Loosen tie rod clamp nuts.
2.
Turn both tie rods at the same time to obtain specified toe-in.
3.
Torque clamp nuts to 7.23 ft. lbs. (1 m-kg), then return tie rod ball joints to the horizontal position.
4.
After performing adjustment, check position of steering wheel.
5.
If wheel is not centered with front wheels in straight-ahead position, reposition steering wheel on shaft as needed.
