Ambient Temperature Sensor / Switch HVAC: Description and Operation

    This sensor is located inside the rear surface of the evaporator-heater assembly. Ambient air, which is drawn into the ventilation system plenum, is
blown across the ambient sensor. The sensor's electrical resistance increases when ambient air temperature decreases and decreases when temperature
increases. This action permits the system to detect outside air temperature changes.
