Evaporative Emission Control Canister: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Raise vehicle on hoist.
2. Remove right rear tire.

LDP And EVAP Canister

3. Remove vacuum line to Leak Detection Pump.

EVAP Canister

4. Remove 3 nuts from EVAP canister bracket.
5. Disconnect electrical connector to Leak Detection Pump
6. Remove hoses from the top of the EVAP canister.
7. Remove 4 nuts from EVAP canister.
8. Remove canister from bracket.

INSTALLATION

1. Install canister to bracket and tighten nuts to 9 Nm (79.6 in. lbs.).
2. Install hoses to canister.
3. Install electrical connector to Leak Detection Pump
4. Install vacuum line to Leak Detection Pump.
5. Install canister to frame rail and tighten nuts to 15.5 Nm (12 ft. lbs.).
6. Install tire and tighten nuts.
7. Lower vehicle.
