Select the applicable Vehicle Division.

Press Enter.

Select the applicable Model.
19.
Press Enter.
20.
Select Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR).

Press Enter.
22.
Select Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
23.
Press Enter.
24.
Select Clear Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
25.
Press Enter.
26.
Press "YES" to clear the codes.

After the codes are cleared, Exit back to the main menu screen and turn the key to the OFF position. Disconnect the Tech 2 from the vehicle.

After turning the key to the OFF position, wait approximately 15 seconds.
29.
While observing the Air Bag Indicator on the Instrument Panel, turn the key to the RUN position. The Air Bag Indicator should flash seven (7)
times and then go out, normal operation.
Warranty Information
Reprogramming of the BCM to accept the new SDM part number should be covered under warranty for the life of the vehicle. Reprogramming of the
BCM is the responsibility of the manufacturer, not the customer. The customer should pay for the SDM and the installation of the 5DM, but not for the
reprogramming after the warranty period expires. See your local factory representative for authorization for the reprogramming only.
For vehicles repaired under warranty, use the table.
The Module, Sensing and Diagnostic, BCM reprogramming labor time is to be used when the SDM is replaced as the result of a collision, fire, theft or
water damage due to flooding. The SDM replacement cost is the responsibility of the customer or the insurance carrier.
