CRUISE RELEASE SWITCHES, ADJUST
Grand Prix & Safari
1.
With brake pedal fully depressed, insert valve into retainer until valve seats fully.
2.
Pull brake pedal rearward against pedal stop until clicking sounds are no longer heard.
3.
Release brake pedal, then repeat step 2 and ensure clicking is not present.
SERVO ROD, ADJUST
Adjust length of rod to minimum slack with carburetor lever on slow idle screw and engine not running. Ensure idle load control is fully retracted
when retainer is installed. SERVO CABLE, ADJUST
1.
With cable connected to vacuum servo, pull servo end of cable assembly toward servo without moving lever.
2.
If one of the holes in servo tab aligns with cable pin, connect pin to tab with retainer.
3.
If none of the holes in servo tab aligns with cable pin, move cable away from servo until next closest hole aligns, then connect pin to tab with
retainer. Do not stretch cable to make adjustment, as the engine will not be able to return to idle.
