Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).
Note: Do Not disconnect the hydraulic lines when opening.
5. Install the rear compartment lid switch screw (1) and switch (2). Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Release Switch Replacement - Rear
Compartment Lid Hinge (See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Trunk / Liftgate/Trunk / Liftgate Switch/Service and Repair).
Tighten the bolts to 2 Nm (18 lb in).
6. Connect the electrical connector to the rear compartment switch (3).
7. Pull upward and then pull rearward to lock in place.
8. Install the center hydraulic cylinder pin and clip.
