Glove Compartment Lock: Service and Repair
Instrument Panel Compartment Lock Cylinder Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Open the Instrument Panel (IP) compartment door.
2. Insert the key into the lock cylinder.
3. Rotate the lock cylinder to the UNLOCK position.
4. Insert a small-bladed tool through the side hole in the lock cylinder in order to depress and hold down the silver key tumbler.
5. Rotate the key and the lock cylinder counterclockwise while depressing the tumbler.
6. Remove the lock cylinder and the key.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Insert the key into the lock cylinder.
2. Install the key and the lock cylinder into the latch. The tumbler will be at the 9 o'clock position.
3. Rotate the key and the lock cylinder clockwise.
4. Remove the key from the lock cylinder.
