Rear Bumper Shock Absorber: Service and Repair

Energy Absorber Replacement - Rear

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear bumper fascia. Refer to Fascia Replacement - Rear Bumper  (See: Rear Bumper Cover / Fascia/Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the rear bumper fascia energy absorber (3) from the rear bumper impact bar (1).
3. Remove the rear bumper bar center reinforcement (2) from the rear fascia energy absorber (3).

Installation Procedure

1. Install the rear bumper bar center reinforcement (2) to the rear fascia energy absorber (3).

Install the rear bumper fascia energy absorber (3) to the rear bumper impact bar (1).

2. Install the rear bumper fascia. Refer to Fascia Replacement - Rear Bumper  (See: Rear Bumper Cover / Fascia/Service and Repair) .
