2. Remove damper -1- on the cover hinge from the mounting -2-.

2.1. Press in the locking lugs -A- on the damper -1- using a small screwdriver.
2.2. Pull the damper -1- forward -arrow- out of the mounting -2-.

3. Check toothed segment on the cover -3- for damage.

3.1. If the teeth of the toothed segment are not damaged:

Clip a new damper into the mounting until the locking lugs of the damper click into place in the mounting.

3.2. If the teeth of the toothed segment are visibly damaged:

Replace cover of oddments tray. Refer to Removing and installing cover for oddments tray.

When installing the cover, clip a new damper into the mounting until the locking lugs of the damper click into place in the mounting.

4. Fit modified spacer with additional securing rib -1-.

4.1. Insert the spacer -1- first into the rear latches of the mounting -A-.

4.2. Then push the spacer -1- forward -arrow- and clip it into the front latches of the mounting -B-.

5. Apply some fast-drying adhesive (e.g. Loctite 414) between the damper housing -1- and mounting -2- at three different spots -A- to further secure

the damper at its installation position on the mounting.
