Air Bag: Service and Repair
Driver Side Airbag Module Replace
1. Disarm air bag system as described under "Disarming and Arming Air Bag System."
2. Using a Torx T30 bit, remove air bag module to steering wheel attaching screws.
3. Lift air bag module from steering wheel, then disconnect electrical connector.
4. Reverse procedure to install noting the following:
a. During installation use new Torx screws. Tighten screws to torque listed in the "Tightening Specifications."
b. After completing installation, arm air bag system as described under "Air Bag System Disarming And Arming."
