Air Bag: Service and Repair
Passenger Side Airbag Module Replace

1. Disarm air bag system as described under "Disarming and Arming Air Bag System."
2. Remove glove compartment.
3. Disconnect passenger side air bag module electrical connectors.
4. Remove the air bag module 8 mm mounting bolt.
5. Remove radio and mounting bracket.
6. Remove A/C and heater control panel and mounting bracket.
7. Remove ashtray.
8. Remove knee bolster.
9. Remove three passenger side air bag flap lower attaching screws.

10. Remove four passenger side air bag flap upper attaching screws.
11. Pull air bag flap forward, then outward and downward.
12. Remove air bag flap to brace attaching screws.
13. Remove the air bag module in a downward direction.
14. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:

a. When installing unit, use new attaching nuts and screws.
b. After completing installation, arm air bag system as described under "Air Bag System Disarming And Arming."
