Seals and Gaskets: Service and Repair
Removal
1. Remove engine/gearbox assembly and disconnect transmission.
2. Remove release-bearing guide tube.
3. Screw Special Tool 9251 firmly into the seal.
4. Pull out seal by screwing in the hexagon head screw.
NOTE: If the helical tension spring jumps out when removing the seal, pull it from the input shaft using a wire hook.
