Press the rubber lip of the roof frame seal outward in the area of the filler piece (Figure 4) so that the countersunk screws a/f 4 hexagon socket (2
x) become visible.

After removing the screws, press the roof frame seal aside so that the screw heads can be carefully guided past the lips of the seals. If necessary,
use the help of a screwdriver. Place screws in the box.

Using the tool or screwdriver, press out the filler piece between the seal and roof frame (Figure 4, arrow) and place in the compartments (Figure 3,
Item H) provided in the box.

The A-pillar adapter is inserted from above, between the seal and roof frame instead of the filler pieces (Figure 5).

Roughly align the hole pattern of the adapter with the threaded bores. Do this by pressing the roof frame seal outward as necessary. Fasten the
adapter on the roof frame only with the flanged oval-head screws (Figure 5), and not with the countersunk screws removed in Step 1.3.

Important:

In order to avoid water leakage and noise, make sure that the roof frame seal is seated properly after fitting the adapter. If necessary, loosen the
adapter again and reposition the seals in this area.

Fitting adapters on the C-pillars (Figure 1, Item C).

2.1

Preparatory work when fitting the two C-pillar adapters for the first time

2.1.1 Remove hardtop from the vehicle if necessary (refer to the Owner's Manual).

2.1.2 Using the hook, carefully pull the painted covers on the left and right C-pillars up and out of the mounts (Figure 6).
