or rear) on the front extensions of the support bow. Tighten pre4itted M6 x 16 pan-head screw (4 x) only slightly. Pre4it the rear support tube
according to the same procedure.

3.3

Tighten all screw connections in accordance with the tightening sequence below. Tightening sequence of the screws:

Safety and countersunk screws of the support bows. 

2.

MG x 16 pan-head screws of the support tubes.

3.4

Fit profile seals (2 x) into the groove of the support tubes.

3.5

Insert lock handles into the support tube ends of the RTS. Open cover cap covering the lock barrel of the lock handles and then lock the lock
handles. The RTS and any add-on modules fitted are protected against unauthorized access once the lock handles have been fitted and locked.
Place unused parts in the box.

4.

Removing the RTS.

4.1

Open cover cap covering the lock barrel of the lock handles. Pull lock handles out of the support tube ends until a slight resistance can be felt and
the screw heads (within the groove in the support tube) of the pan-head screws are accessible.

Note:

If the lock handles are pulled beyond the point at which slight resistance can be felt and completely removed from the support tube ends, the
angled lugs at the end of the guide rail (protection against loss) can break off.

4.2

Undo M6 x 16 pan-head screws (4 x) of the support tubes. Then remove and package both support tubes.

4.3

Attach both assembly aids at the A and C-pillars on one side of the vehicle. Hold the support bow when loosening the coded screw (C-pillar) and
the M8 x 12 countersunk screw (A-pillar).

4.4

Remove support bow from the vehicle and package it. Remove and package the second support bow the same way.

4.5

Remove M6 x 25 pan-head screw of the C-pillar adapter; remove adapter and place it in the box. To protect against corrosion, screw the plastic
screw into the exposed threaded bore.

Note:

The bolt remains on the vehicle. Operation of the convertible top is not impaired by this.

4.6

Clip the painted covers into the mounts of the left and right C-pillars.

4.7

Open the respective vehicle door to remove the adapter on the A-pillar. Remove both flanged ovalhead screws, remove adapter from the A-pillar
and place it in the box.

4.8

In place of the adapter, insert the filler pieces between the seal and roof frame and fasten on the roof frame with the original countersunk screws (2
x per filler piece).

Important:

In order to avoid water leakage and noise, make sure that the roof frame seal is seated properly after fitting the filler pieces. If necessary,
loosen the filler pieces again and reposition the seals in this area.
