Control Module Function

Replacing Control Module

CAUTION:  Moisture can cause corrosion to form. Liquid must not come into contact with the connector.

Bear the following points in mind:

-

The control module must be coded for the corresponding country and for the brake system.

The vehicle identification number must be entered.

Coding

NOTE:  Menu item 'Coding' can be called only if the automatic control module search was performed at the beginning of diagnosis setup.

Extract coding

The coding can be both checked and changed with this menu item.

Procedure:

1. Using the Porsche System Tester II No. 9588, select menu item 'Coding'.
2. Use the Up Arrow, Down Arrow and >> keys to select menu item 'Country coding' or menu item 'ABS/PSM':
